Congratulations David on pulling these threads together; not such an easy thing to do when we ourselves are included in the darkness.
I feel that through community, both felt and lived in, lies our Aquarian way through.
To un-tie collective traumas and 'dead end streets' we have been taught to be real for so long, only through our bodies and minds uniting invisibly with intuition, integrity and creativity, do we run the chance of breathing.
Liberated to develop and use the paradoxical power of compassion for the forces of darkness.
Thanks for bringing such an important topic at this time when we see and hear evil so readily, which is hard for most to ever imagine.
well dear soulbrother, deep bows for your latest profound views on our evolutionary birth. Your Gaian wizardry continues to strengthen! Your transmission of wisdom courage and joy makes my heart sing as my mind muses and my soul journeys. Thank you thank you thank you! I've been far out there on the shamanic path myself lately and am, as ever, grateful to know you're dancing out there nearby too. would love to talk. love love love, Leslie
Beautifully woven. Certainly the entropic trajectory needs to truly run its course before it fully turns inside-out. As I like to say, you can't fake it.
Yin and yang are always dynamically balanced, in every part of the hol. One way or another.
The difference is in the form the balance takes — how can it become beautiful?
I'm so appreciating this series, David, having finally caught up with it.
On the bouncy castle subject, one vivid childhood memory I have is of almost suffocating under a pile of other kids in one of the dips of such a castle at a local agricultural show on a very hot summer's day... So much for the softness and safety!
First of all what a fantastic essay (and series). I've just came across your writing now, and I'm glad I have, it definitely helps further articulate some thoughts I've had on the same matters.
There is a question I have for you. You privilege the creative human spirit above technology, and indicate that while technology may be counter to our evolution, it will serve as a catalyst for human change that'll drive us into the new age. You identify social media and AI in particular under this umbrella, I'm curious then why you would not also include blockchain.
Blockchain seems to be quite similar to the other technologies in that there is a large gulf between what they aim to do and what they actually do. This seems to be a theme with technology in general. For instance, you might refer to the massive resource consumption, encouragement of predatory behaviour through anonymity etc. Curious to hear your thoughts.
It's a good and fair question, thanks for engaging. I wouldn't say I necessarily privilege spirit (or consciousness) above technology, but see them as recursively linked, e.g., the way someone first had to have the idea of the Internet before it could be implemented, but then the existence of the Internet itself stimulates the imagination in countless new ways about how it can be applied, and so the process goes on. I think we're all obviously grappling in a very serious way right now with our relationship to technology, as we're being confronted as never before with the possibilities of runaway technology having the potential to ensnare us in a dystopian nightmare. Having said that, I think what we're currently witnessing is the last-ditch attempt by hierarchical forces of centralized control associated with the dying Piscean Age to co-opt technologies that are basically emancipatory in nature and designed for the emerging Aquarian era of equality and decentralization. I resonate with the idea that blockchain is the technology that will 'complete' the digital revolution that began with the personal computer, then the Internet, then smart phones. And that when we're all the way through that revolution, the full emancipatory potential of those technologies may be realized, hopefully freed from the distortions we're currently experiencing because of the way the current (Piscean) power structure is using those tools. I get that this is an optimistic vision, and that there's good reason for us to be mistrustful of technology as 'the answer.' But the Aquarian archetype is very much associated with technology -- I don't think it's going away. I'd like to think that when we come through this initiation and really enter the new era, that we will discover how these technologies can work to enhance human creativity at entirely new levels.
But it's probably true that the dark forces, or the shadow side of human nature, will always try to distort the more creative and humanitarian potentials of our technologies. I do think the way we use technology relates to the level of our collective consciousness, hence the importance of doing what we can to elevate the latter, so that we bring more love and wisdom to the creation of our technologies, rather than greed or fear.
Thankyou David for such a detailed reply! Everything you say makes sense and is a point of view I had not considered before. It is a great counterpoint to my otherwise pessimistic view on technology.
I've just read through all of Navigating the Storm of Global Change, including the personal check-ins. This has been my introduction to your writing, David, and reading through has delivered me to a place of deep calm - the calm of coherence that can live at the heart of chaos. I look forward to the 4th essay and to connecting with the EarthRising community.
Hi David, some very deep thought provoking thinking, analysis, interpretation and strategising. It made me think, but I am still trying to grasp the multi dimensional / multi level concept in conjunction with opposites. Seems too much too understand in one reading.

Nowhere to hide when the lion comes at you.
Many thanks Pete, I so agree with you that community is the Aquarian way through. Thanks for your wise words.
So many pieces pulled together into a culmination of clarity. Bless up! 🙌✨
Thanks Sean

Very thought provoking as usual David. Thank you.
Thanks Barbara

LOL. Yeah, those bouncy castles are maybe not as safe as they appear!

Thanks Malcolm, I know, there's a lot to unpack in there.
