Congratulations David, as I think you are right about airing and keeping things as open as possible; also being ready to take a position when one needs to be taken.

The degree to which the polarisation has gotten has meant that both polarities have become blatant; important for us to be able to feel into ourselves the confusion we are born into and the web we must gently climb out of until a moment of stance or jumping presents itself, to the we which we are seeking. (our personal and collective truth)

We are part of the confusion, as we were born into it; (have inherited it),

To find our way through this labyrinth will take its own time, yet we need to be consciously touching in or talking about where and when we find skeletons in our own cupboards. Only in being open, firstly to ourselves and then together,( without blame) can we deal with any shame fear or anger. We can't afford to be too fast to categorize or judge, if not we run the risk of being overcome by it in our own solitude. Open and open and open again so that the revelations can speak deeply within us and we can smile together in knowingness; and move on.

The waters are still too muddied to see into, let alone drink from them.

Thanks again for your words and openness. Love Pete

Hello David, your thoughts seem incredibly deep to me. I am trying to rationalise it in a more simplistic way that relates to my comprehensive thoughts about all aspects of live that interest me. Family, children, new grandchildren, friends, politics, music, relaxation, hobbies, environment, etc. I feel I need a simpler level of explanation sometimes. Your views are always thought provoking. Regards to you from UK. Trudy and Malcolm x

I appreciate your explanation. I must admit I actually haven’t read the pages that led up to this explanation. So forgive me if I’m asking for an explanation that has already been given. I would like to understand more of the dark issues regarding the left… As that’s where I sit. 😊

Thanks Mary -- I address these issues in more detail in the third installment of this essay, coming out tomorrow!

Just what is the ideological fundamentalism of the left and what is the shadow? I have no understanding of what you mean.

Also how far back in history are you advocating we go in order to move forward?

I explain more about the ideological fundamentalism of the left in my next post, coming out tomorrow. I don't have an exact answer to your last question, it's obviously a very complex process. I tend to think an organic approach is best, allowing whatever is coming up for healing to be healed. These things are challenging to talk about in the abstract but make sense within a certain group healing process.
