Hi David, becoming absorbed in your deep thinking. However, our current political issues with the new incompetent UK Prime Minister Liz Truss and her eye wateringly expensive polices beggar’s belief and dominates my current thought processes. UK has major financial issues for families and small businesses in the short, medium, and long term. I fear for my children and grandchildren’s future. I need to find solace somewhere, but cannot currently concentrate on your ultra deep thoughts, so may miss some key elements. Regards, Malcolm.

I feel you Malcolm, the UK seems to be facing real trouble. I see in today's news that Liz Truss has resigned. I'm not tracking UK politics closely enough to know all the implications, but from afar it seems pretty chaotic. Hope you guys can weather the storm.

Hello David,

Current Tory politicians are inept, uncaring etc. We need a General Election. Most people are hunkering down, reducing heating and lighting usage, drive less, shop around for value. In essence, create your own happy bubble with family and close friends.

Hi Malcolm -- it will be our turn over here in the US in a couple of weeks! Bound to be some political mayhem here with the mid-terms -- in my essay series I tried to give big-picture context for all this chaos, which I see as an inevitable symptom of one huge era dying and a new one being born.

Hi David, have you encountered the work of Charles Eisenstein? You and he have a lot of similar veins in your work, especially in some of the books he’s written.
